About this Workshop

The greatest strength we can instill our youth is the confidence to be who they are and to love themselves matter what life throws at them.

ALT is hosting a two-hour make and take workshop during which children get to learn a little bit about the art of screen printing while creating their own t-shirt and inspirational poster.

The kids get to choose from a selection of 12 x18 in posters that have been pre-printed with animals on them. From there, they will add to the poster by printing their choices from a pre-set selection of patterns, graphics, and inspirational sayings. The end result is a hand-made customized poster to hang in their room and inspire them for years to come.

In addition to the poster, the kids will also learn to screen print a t-shirt  using an apparel press. They will print their choice between our “Hipster Zebra” or “Duck with Headphones” design.

We recommend this class for children ages 8-14.  All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Printing is a fun experience for all parties involved but some kids may require a little bit of assistance from their accompanying adult.  ALT staff will be there guiding participants throughout the entire printing experience.

It’s recommended that participants wear comfortable clothing. Although participants are provided with an apron, we recommend wearing clothing that can get ruined without any tears.
